Finding your way to us is simple. Whether you are arriving by plane, ferry, or bus, here is your easy guide on how to get to Glur Hostel Ao Nang from key travel hubs in Thailand.
From Krabi Airport (KBV)
Distance: 27 km | Time: 30–45 minutes
- Shared Airport Shuttle Bus: Shuttle bus counter is located beside the exit way to the parking lot. The ticket price is 150 Baht one way to Aonang. You can tell the driver our hostel name “Glur Hostel”. Normally, the driver will stop to drop you off in front of our Hostel; on the other hand, you may have to walk down the lane for approximately 200 metres.
- โดยรถแท็กซี่ Public taxi costs approximately 700 thai baht. You can tell the driver to go to Ao Nang beach and give him our map. You can click the “ดาวน์โหลดแผนที่” link to save the map.
- Grab: Available directly outside the arrivals terminal. It takes about 35 minutes to reach our front gate.
- Private Transfer: Want a hassle-free arrival. Contact our team in advance, and we can arrange a private pickup for you.
From Krabi Bus Terminal
Distance: ~15 km | Time: 25 minutes
- Local Songthaew (White Bus): Hop on a white songthaew heading to Ao Nang. It is cheap and runs frequently during the day. Let the driver know you are staying at Glur Hostel in Ao Nang.
- Taxi / Grab: Takes around 20–25 minutes directly to our door.

Distance: ~1.1 km | Time: 15 minutes walk
- Follow the beach road for about 900 m., past Lotus until you see 7-11 on the left. The entrance lane to Glur Hostel, Aonang soi 11/1, is opposite the Radarom Spa. Look out for Blue signage of Glur Hostel at the front of the lane.
From Aonang beach
Distance: ~1.5 km | Time: 20 minutes walk

From Koh Phi Phi
Distance: ~2 hours by ferry/speedboating
- By Ferry / Speedboat: Take a ferry or speedboat from Tonsai Pier in Koh Phi Phi to Nopparat Thara Pier or Klong Jilad Pier in Krabi.
- Getting to Glur from the Pier: From Nopparat Thara Pier, we are just a short 10-minute tuk-tuk or Grab ride away. From Klong Jilad Pier, take a local songthaew (shared blue bus) or taxi to Ao Nang.
From Phuket
Time: 2–3.5 hours
- By Speedboat / Ferry: Take a boat from Bang Rong Pier or Rassada Pier in Phuket directly to Nopparat Thara Pier in Ao Nang. From there, it is a 10-minute taxi to Glur.
- By Shared Minivan / Bus: Regular buses and minivans run from Phuket Bus Terminal 2 to Krabi. You can also book a direct hotel-to-hostel minivan service.
From Koh Samui / Koh Phangan
Time: 5–7 hours (Ferry + Bus)
- Joint Ticket (Ferry + Minivan): The easiest way is to buy a joint ticket from any local travel agency in Samui or Phangan. This includes the ferry ride to Donsak Pier (Surat Thani) and a connecting bus straight to Krabi / Ao Nang.
- Arrival: The bus will drop you at the Ao Nang main area or Krabi town, where you can easily take a quick ride to Glur.

We provide free on-site parking only for scooters. Car parking is available only on the street-side in front of the hostel.
How far is Glur Ao Nang from the beach and local amenities?
We are located in a peaceful, local neighborhood just a 20-minute walk (about 1.5 km) from Ao Nang Beach. It’s close enough to enjoy the beach vibes and island-hopping boats, but tucked away enough to escape the noisy tourist crowds.
Can I rent a scooter or book tours directly at the property?
We can help you book transfers and tour activities at fair local prices. We do not have scooter rental but the scooter rental shop is located just next door.
How can I get around Krabi and Aonang from the hostel?
Other than walking 20 minutes by foot to Aonang Beach, you can move around by tuk‑tuk, songthaew (shared pickup truck), taxi, rented motorbike, or longtail boat for nearby beaches and islands.
